The final Mega Millions drawing of 2022 has taken place, but it’s not yet clear whether the estimated $685 million jackpot will roll over to another drawing Tuesday night.
There was no jackpot winner in Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, which means the top prize will rise to an estimated $785 million dollars on Tuesday night.
The grand prize is now the third-largest in U.S. history after 24 straight drawings without a winner, which has allowed the prize to repeatedly roll over.
A New York ticketholder matched all six numbers to win Mega Millions $476 million jackpot on Friday night — the 13th largest prize in the lottery's history.
“We’re feeling very happy. We’re excited, and hopefully we sell more winning tickets,” Deepak Parek, a 42-year-old clerk at Liberty Beer & Convenience in Ozone Park, said on Saturday.
Johnnie Taylor, a 71-year-old retired handyman from Howard Beach, cashed in on the larges Mega Million jackpots in the game's history, New York State Lottery officials announced on Monday.
